The "200km Jacket" is a truly local collaboration, celebrating what can be crafted, sourced, made and sold within 200 kilometres of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This limited edition collaboration kicks off the 20th anniversary celebration of the 2007 debut of Philip Sparks Tailored Goods Inc. and highlights the creative network that has grown around the business over the past two decades.
The project was conceived of as part of the growing Ontario Fibreshed movement with wool, mohair and alpaca fibres coming from Ontario. The raw materials have been cleaned, carded, spun and woven at Wave Fibre Mill in Parry Sound. Garment design, patterns and constructing were completed in the Philip Sparks Tailored Goods studio in Toronto's Junction neighbourhood. And the finished jackets are sold a short 15-minute walk away at GERHARD.
To support this local movement and more sustainable practices, the colour of these jackets are unique and reflect the conditions for raising sheep and spinning wool in Ontario over the Winter of 2025-2026. Similar to how the characteristics of wine shift from vintage to vintage, these hues are naturally occurring colours in sheep and other fine animal hairs from a specific moment in time. Instead of synthetic materials, linen and horse hair cavasses have been hand sewn into place and cotton lines the jackets. Even the (real) horn buttons and thread are made in Canada.

Tanino Mid is the ankle-height read of Buttero's hero sneaker, keeping the raw-cut edges and stitch points that have marked the model since 2013.
The upper is vegetable-tanned calf leather; the tanning leaves the grain uneven on purpose, so no two hides read quite the same, and the colour deepens with every season worn. Leather laces and brass eyelets complete the closure, with a spare pair of laces included. A genuine-rubber sole runs underfoot, comfortable from first wear.

The Haunted Forest Selvedge is a 14oz Japanese selvedge denim with a deep, smoky slate green warp and short slub texture. The earthy palette and subtle surface irregularity evoke the feeling of a dark, shadowed forest, giving the fabric a grounded, atmospheric character.
The denim is finished with a waxed brown pull-up leather patch. Pull-up leather lightens and reveals variation as it is handled and worn, fading naturally over time and developing character alongside the denim itself. A mustard-colored selvedge edge adds a muted contrast detail, reinforcing the fabric’s earthy tone and visual depth.

The Double Heavyweight French Terry Pullover Hoodie is made from one of the heaviest knits ever produced, with a weight approximately two times that of a standard heavyweight knit. Made in Wakayama, Japan on circular knitting machines, this low-gauge (10G) French terry has an irregular surface texture with large, soft loops on the inside.
For an extra cozy feel, the interior has been lightly brushed to create a half-fleece effect. The French terry loops remain visible, but have been gently puffed up, giving the interior a softer, fuller hand while retaining the distinctive texture of the knit.

Tanino Mid is the ankle-height read of Buttero's hero sneaker, keeping the raw-cut edges and stitch points that have marked the model since 2013.
The upper is vegetable-tanned calf leather; the tanning leaves the grain uneven on purpose, so no two hides read quite the same, and the colour deepens with every season worn. Leather laces and brass eyelets complete the closure, with a spare pair of laces included. A genuine-rubber sole runs underfoot, comfortable from first wear.

Spot clean, or take to a leather professional. To care for your Buttero shoes, gently wipe away dirt with a damp cloth or sponge, then nourish the leather with a light application of natural wax, buffing with a soft cloth to restore its shine. Keep your shoes away from excessive heat or moisture. Should they get wet, blot away any excess water and allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature.
We recommend sizing down one full size from your EU shoe size in most Buttero styles. The popular "Tanino" style runs particularly large. Buttero recommends sizing down two full sizes in the "Tanino", though we would only recommend 1.5. If you're buying Buttero for your first time we would recommend getting in touch with us before submitting your order.
