The Chocolate Milk Selvedge is a 12.5oz Japanese selvedge denim made from a distinctive blend of 77% cotton and 23% milk protein fiber derived from casein. The milk protein is processed into fiber through a liquid solution and spinneret extrusion before being spun into yarn and blended with cotton.
The brown-toned weft is carefully matched to the color of chocolate milk, subtly visible beneath the indigo surface and becoming more pronounced as the denim fades. This interaction creates depth and warmth that evolves naturally with wear.
A red-and-white twisted selvedge edge references the striped paper straws commonly seen in vintage chocolate milk advertisements. Cow-print pocket bags and a hair-on-hide leather patch complete the concept, balancing technical novelty with playful detail.
